Noir Art Exhibit

In collaboration with Claire Caswell and Joslyn Castle, local artists were encouraged to seek inspiration from the dark and shadowy world of Noir.
A small selection of art from this exhibition will be featured in the Orpheum Theater Lobby during Opera Omaha’s performances of Don Giovanni.
The entire exhibit is available to view at the Joslyn Castle Carriage House now through Oct. 22.

Concessions

Omaha Performing Arts, as venue manager, will have food and beverage concessions for sale. Beverages with lids purchased in the lobby may be brought into the hall.

Enjoy the signature cocktail of Don Giovanni,
NOIR ELIXIR
A dark and alluring drink featuring blackberry liqueur, gin, and a touch of tonic, garnished with a sprig of rosemary. The deep colors evoke the world of noir while the aromas hint at something mysterious and seductive. $10.

More Information

Guide to the Opera

Is this your first time attending an opera? If you're new to a certain performance, or just want to come prepared, it's great to read a synopsis or attend the pre-performance lecture prior to the show. Also, we don't expect you to learn a new language for the performance. All performances will have english supertitles projected above the stage so you can follow along. Click here for a helpful information about the opera experience including suggestions on what to wear, when to arrive and about the orchestra.

In what language will Don Giovanni be presented?
The opera will be sung in Italian, the original language in which it was written. English supertitles will be available on a screen above the stage and in the front of the Loge.

Are there lighting or sound elements I should be aware of?
There will be theatrical lighting elements for this performance. The singers do not use microphones, just their natural voices projecting from the stage.
