Chorus and Comprimario Auditions

Sep 5, 2023

Opera Omaha will hold chorus and comprimario (supporting role) auditions on September 28 & 30, 2023.

The Opera Omaha Chorus is comprised of singers from Omaha, Lincoln, and the surrounding communities. These auditions are for placement on Opera Omaha’s chorus roster, and for casting supporting roles within the season, as they occur. Chorus members are selected for each individual show, not the entire season. This is a paid position.

Since Opera Omaha has a new Head of Music/Chorus Director, former members of the chorus are encouraged to re-audition, so he can become familiar with each individual voice for placement on the roster.

When:
Thursday, September 28, 2023 – 6:00-9:00pm
Saturday, September 30, 2023 – 2:00-5:00pm

Where:
Auditions will be held at the Opera Omaha Rehearsal Space, located at:
2215 Leavenworth St.
Omaha, NE, 68102

A variety of genres (arias, art songs, oratorio) are all accepted. Please bring a hard copy of your selections for the pianist, who will be available to you at no cost.
