ONE Festival Postponed

Opera Omaha is honored to serve this community, which includes our audience, artists, staff and collaborators. We strive to be a leader in our community and in our field, even when it means making difficult decisions.

As we have been monitoring the scope of the COVID-19 pandemic, relying on information from local authorities as well as our partners and colleagues, we have decided that the most responsible way to honor our commitment to our community is to postpone our upcoming events and ONE Festival offerings including the productions of St John the Baptist in the MidCo Glass Building and The Capulets and the Montagues in the Orpheum Theater.

We are exploring options to bring our ONE Festival projects to fruition at a later date, and Opera Omaha will fulfill its contractual commitments to its artists and crew.

Patrons who have purchased tickets for any of our ONE Festival performances can contact our Box Office at 402-346-7372 x2 between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday to discuss options. Subscription sales will continue for our 2020-2021 Season.

For those who are willing to turn their ticket purchases for this spring into a donation to Opera Omaha, we are delighted to announce that your gift will be matched! Generous Supporters including Opera Omaha’s Board of Directors have mobilized funds to support the company during this difficult time, enabling us to fulfill our financial commitments to our artists and partners. Through these funds, the value of your tickets will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, doubling your impact! Please reach out to us on or before your ticket’s scheduled performance date to make gift arrangements. This matching opportunity also extends to those who would like to make a straight monetary donation.

We are overwhelmed by this outstanding show of support from so many in Opera Omaha’s family. You are truly shining examples of the generosity of our community.
