Craftsmans’ Guild
Begun in 1962, the Craftsmans’ Guild is the longest continual support group for Opera Omaha. Craftsmans’ Guild members have built costumes and props, hammered scenery, applied makeup and nourished starving artists for more than forty years. The name of the Guild comes from the stagecraft skills that the members donate to Opera Omaha in the areas of wardrobe, makeup/wigs, ushers, concessions and party.Each year, the services donated by the Guild are valued in excess of $50,000. The Craftsmans’ Guild has been blessed with the participation of many long-standing members, some serving since the 1960s. In the early days of the Opera company, some members also sang in the chorus and did any work needed backstage when they were not needed onstage. Today, most of the membership is focused on meeting the backstage needs of a production, and members still enjoy the camaraderie and reward of helping to bring top notch performances to the Omaha community.

Opera Omaha Guild
The purpose of the Opera Omaha Guild is to assist in fundraising to support Opera Omaha and promote opera education in the community. The dedication of this large group, over 200 members strong, coordinates successful fundraisers each year, such as the annual Wine Seller auction and dinner, teen cotillion and an annual gala. The Opera Omaha Guild also offers educational and social events including the Opera Study Group series, Valentine’s Day Dinner and Victorian Tea. The Guild is one of Opera Omaha's largest donors, in excess of $150,000 annually through its fundraising activities.

Office Volunteers
Office volunteers, the true "administrative angels," help Opera Omaha complete essential tasks for day-to-day business. Whether it is answering phones during staff meetings, aiding in large mailings, creating and maintaining databases, researching and compiling data or providing sales support in the boutique, it is clear that without their help, we could not do all we do on a daily basis to bring world class opera to our stage and meaningful outreach into our community.
