chosen for an audition you will be notified by March 16, 2012.

The Opera Omaha Chorus comprises professional singers from Omaha, Lincoln and the surrounding communities.
Auditions – are scheduled at various times throughout the year. Singers are asked to prepare 2 vocal selections, one in a foreign language, not to exceed a total of 4 minutes. Arias, art songs, or church solos are all acceptable audition selections. An accompanist is provided. A performance résumé is suggested.
Requirements – Singers must be at least 18 years of age.
Commitment – Schedule varies, depending on the production – a typical rehearsal schedule includes 2-3 rehearsals per week. Rehearsals take place weekday evenings and on the weekends. During the week prior to the production, the weekday evening rehearsals may last 4-5 hours. Performances are generally Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
Location – Rehearsals are held at various locations in the community. Performances are typically held at the Orpheum Theater.
Compensation – The Opera Omaha Chorus is paid at an hourly rate for each rehearsal hour, plus a standard fee for each performance.
